What is the Visa Lottery? Can I bring my family if the raffle favors me? How can I participate?

Every year 50,000 immigrant visas are available through the Visa Lottery to people who live in countries that the United States Department of Justice determines. Winners have the right to request permanent residence. If granted, you can work and live legally in the United States and have the right to bring your spouse and unmarried children under 21 years of age.
